Your brain is pretty organized!
You can usually have 2-3 things going on at the same time and manage them well. However, when a significant life event or an additional stressor comes your way, it can push you to the edge, causing you to either feel overwhelmed or go into panic mode.
Your primitive brain already has a pretty good foundation for the rest of your brain, which is why most of the time you feel good and handle life well.
