Signs of a disorganized brain are often easier to spot in children.  This can look like a kid who has trouble sitting still and focusing, difficulty reading and writing, separation anxiety, tantrums or meltdowns, social difficulties, and more – in short, symptoms that might get diagnosed as autism, ADHD, OCD, dyslexia, or a number of other behavioral or neurodevelopmental disorders.

But what does an adult with a disorganized brain look like?  Could you be missing the signs showing up in your own life?

Do you ever feel frustrated or even angry at someone who is driving too slow when you are running late?  What do you do when another driver cuts you off?  How about when your kids are acting up while you are trying to work?  When the lower centers of the brain such as the pons and midbrain are not optimally connected, it can lead to a range of dysfunctional behaviors such as road rage and other displays of temper.

Do you struggle with procrastination or fear of failure?  You might also experience frequent anxiety and a need for reassurance, as well as stage fright, or feeling threatened by constructive feedback such as a performance review at work.  If you have ever been told that you are too hard on yourself or that you interrupt too much, these can also be related to a disorganized brain.

There are many more symptoms of a disorganized brain that could be affecting your every day life, (and we will expound upon them in another post), but suffice it to say that a disorganized brain is not something you will grow out of!  In fact, even though we often find ways to compensate, the increased pressures of adulthood and living through unprecedented times can strain even the most robust of compensations to the point of breakdown. (This might even happen just from reading the news or social media lately!)

But you don’t have to live like this anymore. Your brain is always communicating with you, and it wants to thrive!  We will teach you how to make those connections and access your innate resilience. You CAN change your brain, and be fully equipped for the life you deserve – and it’s a great one!
